The 4th grant competition for rural public schools has begun!

The Tamaz Bekaia Educational Foundation announces the 4th grant competition for rural public schools.

The competition envisages funding for 3 projects submitted by schools, which can be both educational and infrastructural and should aim to support and improve the educational process.

Each winning school will receive 8 thousand GEL as a grant from the foundation.

The competition has two stages.

The first stage begins on October 1st and projects will be accepted until November 1st. On December 1st, the jury will select 20 candidates and the second stage will begin, and the selected schools must submit a two-word description of the project with an estimate by December 20th. On December 25th, the 3 winning schools will be named. Grants will be awarded before the start of the second semester.

The school students must participate in the preparation of the project along with the educational part. Also, the project must be agreed with the director so that its implementation does not encounter any opposition.

If these two conditions are not met, the jury will not consider the submitted project.

Also, at least one of the winning schools must be a public school with the status of a mountain village.

Jury composition:

– Natia Uchava – winner of the 2024 National Teacher Award;

– David Lortkipanidze – academician, Director General of the Georgian National Museum;

– Levan Bekaia – founder and director of the Tamaz Bekaia Educational Fund;

– Goga Chanadiri – head of the fund’s projects.

The goal of the grant competition is to support the educational process in rural public schools, increase students’ responsibility towards the school, and develop and shape the skills necessary for writing and presenting projects.
