About Us

Tamaz Bekai is a successful, philanthropic, and Georgian businessman. He dedicated his entire life to promoting well-being among others, helping talented youth achieve their potential. He supported their education financially, covering their learning expenses personally, and enriched their knowledge with books and other resources.

The idea of establishing an educational foundation came to Tamaz Bekai, along with his close friend and fellow philanthropist, Goga Chanadiri. They envisioned notebooks being distributed to families with up to 100 members in Georgian villages, enabling continuous learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The educational foundation aimed to reach a broader audience, providing more opportunities for talented youth and facilitating a faster, organized, and sustainable learning process.

"Tamaz Bekai officially established the educational foundation on March 5, 2021. The mission of the foundation is to create a supportive environment for talented students, aiming to provide them with high-quality education and financial assistance throughout their academic journey, ensuring their advancement in future academic periods"

The Educational Fund also awarded five scholarships to high-achieving students, who received a one-time financial aid of 1,500 GEL each. The scholarship recipients, previously successful in national exams with high scores, have become beneficiaries, including two students from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts.

In different categories of professionals from various universities, the fund focuses less statistically popular but crucial areas for the country’s successful work and development in educational policies and practices. At this stage, it has chosen faculties in humanities, pedagogy, medicine, engineering, and natural sciences.

In the near future, the fund aims to address the diversification of educational institutions and professional training programs, contributing to the growth of the number of universities and professional education institutions throughout Georgia.

The fund is completely independent and self-sustaining; its activities are financially supported by Tamaz Bekai’s diversified business. The fund has a vision to play a significant role in the long-term development of the country, providing opportunities for future generations in Georgia to receive high-quality education, pursue desired professions, and contribute to the progress of the nation.
